SystemFlip takes the strain in a 24-hour Security Company

Profile Security deploys SystemFlip to support their  24-hour Security Operations

In the security industry, IT systems typically consist of a range of bespoke applications and custom hardware devices, running on anything from standalone workstations, physical servers with older operating systems to the latest in virtualisation.

SystemFlip becomes your secondary monitoring centre with one huge difference – you can test every element of your systems on the local appliance, isolated from your production systems, during office hours without running up any additional charges.

The local SystemFlip appliance continuously backs up your operating system, applications and user data from all the discrete platforms in the monitoring centre. It then creates virtual machines in real-time for each protected device, ready to be Flipped into operation locally on the appliance, for example, in the event of server failure. In parallel, the backup is streamed to the SystemFlip Cloud onto the customer’s dedicated servers – with SystemFlip there is no server sharing with other customers. All data is encrypted as it arrives in the appliance and nobody but the customer has access to the customer data.

SystemFlip Continuous Recovery is a complete end-to-end service giving our customers control of local day-to-day IT Disasters such as hardware or application failures. In addition, if a major disaster should strike it provides a complete hands-off Cloud Disaster Recovery service when needed.

Profile Security Services have deployed SystemFlip Continuous Recovery to protect their total security solutions business. Lawson Simpson, the Group IT Manager was looking for “a single, complete and integrated solution provided by a single service provider“. Following the deployment of SystemFlip, he commented: “It’s given me a sense of security and confidence in our ability to handle both partial and complete site failure, and it’s taken a weight off my shoulders.”
